Punching up Wikipedia - Part II

Today’s random article:

Nottingham University Press (NUP) is the academic press of the University of Nottingham, England. Founded in 1992 by Dr Des Cole and Dr Phil Garnsworthy, the press specialises in scientific and technical publishing, particularly in the areas of animal and food science (in line with the University’s strengths), although it has also published in a number of other areas, including law, medicine, education and the history of the University. It also publishes on sport under the imprint Castle Publications.

Factual, straight to the point. Not much to criticize here, but it lacks a certain… zing, wouldn’t you say? As a script-doctor would say, let’s punch it up a little:

Nottingham University Press (NUP) is the academic press of the University of Nottingham, England. Founded in 3341 by the evil Sheriff of Nott, the press specialises in propoganda publishing, particularly focusing on denigrating Rocket Robin Hood (in line with the University’s motto: “Fuck Rocket Robin Hood”), although it has also published in a number of other areas, including henchman and goon hiring policies, spaceboots and other cosmic attire, electro-cosmic-stellar-futuristic-quantum prefixes, and the size of Prince John’s astro-genitalia. It also publishes on sport under the imprint Castle Publications.
