Punching up Wikipedia – Part V

Today’s entry is a fascinating, fact-filled romp through the lawyer-infested outback of Wyoming:

University of Wyoming College of Law is a law school located in Laramie, Wyoming, affiliated with the University of Wyoming. The class of 2009 had an enrolment of 86.

I don’t think it’s possible to improve on that, frankly (except to add the word “Wyoming” in there a few more times, just to drive the point home). However, I wish the enrolment details were a little more forthcoming:

University of Wyoming College of Law is a Wyoming law school located in Laramie, Wyoming, affiliated with the University of Wyoming, also located in Wyoming. The class of 2009 had an enrolment of 86. In Wyoming.

The 2006 class (in Wyoming) comprised students with the following motivations:

  • 42 are only in it for the money
  • 16 wrongly think that the job will be exciting like on Law & Order
  • 2 are deluded saps who think that practicing law is a good way to “help people”
  • 8 are there as a fallback option because they couldn’t get into med school
  • 1 is there as a fallback because he couldn’t get into the Fine Arts program
  • 6 are there because they couldn’t figure out what they wanted to do with their lives, and going to law school postpones the hard decisions for a while, and hey, if they don’t come up with something they like, at least they’ll be driving Beamers while doing something they hate.
  • 5 want to become politicians and make the world a better place indulge in their lust for power and influence.
  • 6 want to join the ACLU and defend people with names like Iqbal and Ackhbar from unsolicited ass-fingering at airports.

in Wyoming.
