I’ll not comment on Tim McCarver except to say he’s a flat-footed goom-bah.
However, I love Ralph Kiner. What a dude. I remember about ten years ago when McCarver brought up some well-respected hitting coach - I don’t remember who it was now, but along the lines of Walt Hrniak or Charlie Lau (it wasn’t Lau, but someone of that his stature) - and Kiner, who was then approxmately 102 years old, blurted out, on the air, “that idiot has ruined more good hitters than any coach in history.”
