Saturday morning link hoe-down

Various items on interest flit across my RSS feed this morning:

  • Shaquille O’Neal, the grt cmmuntikater: “I dnt no who the [expletive] u think u dealin wit u will neva be heard from one phone call is I gotta make now try me. Sho me.” I think the “[expletive]” in question is likely “fsck” (little Linux joke for you there).
  • Mike Commodore: More than just great hair: “Go ahead. Roll those numbers around a bit, see if you can figure out exactly what the Blue Jackets hope to get from a deal that essentially makes a No. 1 blueliner out [of] a guy who’s better known for a wheels-off hairdo and wearing housecoats than for anything he’s done on the ice.”
  • What makes the Olympics great? Is the the spectacle of supreme athleticism? Is it the display of sportsmanship and fair play? Or is it a Cuban Taekwondo athlete kicking a referee in the face? Added bonus: His coach not only refused to apologize, but also accused the ref and the opposing team of fixing the match.
  • Dear Mr. Dell: I want. Please send me an evaluation version ASAP.

Just to clarify, Krankor: the evaluation version you want, is it the computer, or the attractive woman in the photo holding the laptap?

“Funny – that never happens to Errol Flynn!”

  2. Krankor Says:

    Both, please.

Thanks for the cartoon! :o )

Dude, that Dell only has a 12.1″ screen. You’d go blind from eyestrain before you could even enjoy it. Also, I work for Dell’s direct competition, and think they all suck.

I’ve heard from well placed sources that the best thing about Dell is the hold music on their customer service line.

I’ve had 3 different 12″ laptops, and I love the screen size.

We have two choices at my company: Dell and Lenovo. While I’d love a thinkpad, their ultraportables don’t appear to have touchpads… and I despise the little pointer doohickeys.

Feel free to suggest an alternative, though.
