Did you ever see the 2006 Shatner Roast with Takei, Nichelle Nichols et al? Besides the mean stuff, it was pretty much the usual corny nonsense. I think there must have been a lot of prima donna Hollywood stars in the 60s with very little attachment to reality; neither Shatner nor Takei seems to have gotten over it. Sure it’s not polite, but it seems true.
